David Ross Ziskind, 66, passed away Wednesday, February 6 at MCV Hospital. David was the beloved husband of Betsy Ziskind, devoted father of Kathleen Ziskind, Elizabeth, Anne Schneider, and stepfather of Lisa Campbell, Sharon Lakes and William Campbell. He was the loving grandfather of eight grandchildren and a loving brother to Judith Farr. David dedicated most of his professional career to improving the lives of people with disabilities. He served as Deputy Commissioner for RSA and later Director of DERSA. He will be sorely missed.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, February 11, 2008. A funeral service will be conducted at Williamsburg United Methodist Church on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Williamsburg Memorial Cemetery. A reception back at the church will follow the burial.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Respite Care located at Williamsburg United Methodist Church, 514 Jamestown Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188 or the MCV Hospitality House.
